There is NO government office outside Puerto Rico that can apostille a Puerto Rico document.

How can I correct, amend a misspelling and update a birth certificate from puerto rico?

If you live in New York City, please note that there is NOT a local office that will issue a new birth certificate.

I was born on a military base in Puerto Rico how do i get my birth certificate?

Depending on your date of birth (before 2010 or after 2010) you will need to search the records of the Registrador demografico where the military base is located.

If you can not locate your records, contact the military base records office for further assistance.

I was born in Puerto Rico but was never issued a birth certificate

If you were indeed born in Puerto Rico, the fact that you never received a certificate does not disqualify you from getting one now.

In this situation, you will need to gather as much information as possible (hospital records etc…) and then contact the office of the “Registardor demografico” to search their records.
